RoyGroundUp is designed to work with as little personal data as possible. This page explains what is collected, why, and the choices you have.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count page views and simple events (for example, a game being started or a lesson quiz being answered). Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personal information such as your name or email address. Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Cookies and advertising
Some pages may show advertising provided by Google. Google is a third-party vendor on our site. It uses cookies, including the DoubleClick (DART) cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google's partner sites policy.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is stored by our email provider, Kit (kit.com), and used only to send the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for your address to be deleted at any time.
Tools, scorecard and games
Text you type into the tools (such as the agenda and feedback builders) and your scorecard answers stay in your browser and are not sent to us. Game progress, scores and settings are saved in your browser's local storage, and you can clear them by clearing your browser data.
Embedded videos
Videos are embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies when you play a video, under Google's privacy policy.
Children
RoyGroundUp is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children.
